Pay Rate: $21 per Hour
Schedule: Must be available on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Job Description Collaborative Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and outgoing caregiver with a positive, can-do attitude to support an elderly gentleman living with early dementia in Milford, CT. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in dementia care and a genuine passion for helping others live safely and comfortably at home. Responsibilities include assistance with personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and pet care for two dogs. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, as the role involves driving the client to appointments or errands, with mileage reimbursement provided.

The Care Plan Includes - Providing dedicated early dementia care and support

Qualifications: - A love for the senior community
- A compassionate, upbeat attitude and patient demeanor
- Strong commitment to reliability and ethical behavior
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
- Dedication to professional development
- A minimum of 1-year experience in caregiving for seniors
- Ability to lift 30-40 pounds
- Possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record, Auto Insurance and a reliable and well-maintained car
- Possess a State ID and a valid second form of ID, such as a Social Security Card, Passport, or Birth Certificate
- Eligible to work in the United States for any employer
- Pass a background check and drug test per company standards
Responsibilities And Duties - Our Caregivers are responsible for providing hands-on, non-medical, quality care to clients of Collaborative Home Care.
- Caregivers provide care based on the plan of care for their clients, which includes activities of daily living such as personal care (e.g. bathing, dressing, medication reminders)
- Companion care (e.g. conversation, hobbies and activities, shopping).
- Caregivers must be able to work with minimal supervision, accepting personal responsibility for the maintenance of a professional relationship with the client in accordance with Collaborative Home Care policies and standards.
