Insight Contracting – Pest Control Technician

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour

Description:
We are expanding our services to include pest control, and we’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented technician to join our team. The Technician will perform pest control services as directed by management and property management partners, following company protocols. This hands-on role involves independent fieldwork, driving to job sites, and maintaining accurate service records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect properties to identify pest issues and conditions that contribute to infestations.
• Apply pest control products safely, following label directions, regulations, and instructions provided by management.
• Install and maintain traps, bait stations, exclusion devices, or mechanical controls as directed by management.
• Complete all scheduled appointments on time in accordance with Company policies and local regulations.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including correct use of PPE, chemical handling, and ongoing training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, including vehicle, clothing, PPE, and documentation.
• Maintain equipment, company vehicles, and storage areas in good working order and organized condition, reporting any necessary repairs or replacements to supervisor.
• Assist with landscaping or light residential remodeling work as needed to support team operations.
• During Winter, be available for Snow Duty (shoveling, plowing, spreading ice melt, etc.).
• Record work accurately through a mobile service-tracking app.
• Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and other team members.
• Maintain compliance with State and Local health, nuisance, licensing, and safety codes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

• Full-Time hours.
• Weekend or evenings may be required occasionally and/or in peak season.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and corporate-insurable driving record.
• Valid Missouri Certified Pesticide Applicator’s License.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and communicate clearly.
• Must be able to pass background check & drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally heavier loads.
• Grasp, twist, pull, push, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Properly use PPE and follow safety procedures for chemical handling.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in pest control, construction, landscaping, or related trades.
• Knowledge of building structures, moisture control, or site conditions that contribute to pest issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
