Position Summary

We are seeking a  skilled and dependable Commercial Plumber. As the New Lead Install/Service Technician you will be leading all our plumbing technicians in the field as we strive to serve each of our customers with quality workmanship in a timely manner. This role is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of our commercial plumbing jobs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of technical proficiency in commercial plumbing, attention to detail, organized, customer service oriented, self-motivated and have a commitment to safety and excellence in service & installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform plumbing service work with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Understand and execute new plumbing installs according to the provided plumbing/mechanical blueprints and other commercial plumbing applications.
  • Install commercial plumbing fixtures, including repair, replacement, and installation of the plumbing system.
  • Inspect and maintain plumbing systems to prevent pipe breakages, clogs, leaks and other preventative maintenance issues.
  • Troubleshoot issues with plumbing service-related issues. 
  • Use work order systems to track hours, materials, receipts and detailed service notes with the daily assigned task.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company-assigned vehicles in excellent working conditions with scheduled inspections.
  • Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Demonstrate leadership to the field technicians on the plumbing team with industry knowledge, customer relations and customer service.
  • Travel locally to job sites as required; vehicle and gas card provided.
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the plumbing department manager.
  • Provide support for other plumbing technicians with code compliance, product knowledge, time management, safety protocols, and decision-making processes using your problem-solving abilities. 
  • Prioritize, organize, and manage multiple jobs effectively

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Vocational training and completion of a certified plumbing apprenticeship
  • Must hold a current state or Indiana plumbing license
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the plumbing industry 
  • Must have 4 years of commercial plumbing experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Indiana state plumbing code and OSHA regulations
  • Must be able to read, understand and execute mechanical blueprints
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents with others
  • Must have a high communication level and be able to share knowledge with others
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools 
  • Proficient in the use of scissor lifts & boom lifts
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable by company standards
  • Physically capable of performing all assigned job duties
  • Dependable and self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts; overtime and weekend work as needed
