Receptionist

E merald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services to adolescents and adults at our four outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle. Additionally, we offer specialized treatment for active duty military members through our Military Resiliency Program, specialized chemical dependency treatment and TMS therapy for chronic depression.

The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, patients, answering the switchboard, managing incoming and outgoing mail, documenting incoming deliveries, and providing clerical support as assigned.  Assists in the facilitation of safety and security initiatives including announcing codes, assuring visitor sign-in/out, and identifying escalation issues in the reception area.

Essential Job Duties:

• Greets visitors to the building, creating a warm and welcoming environment. Determine reason for visit. Assure sign-in/out procedures are followed and temporary badges created as needed.
• Answers telephone in a timely manner and directs the caller to the appropriate department or employee.
• Assists in the expedient announcement of codes and fire drills.
• Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard in a heath care environment preferred.  
• Strong customer service and communication skills and verbal acuity suited to interacting with the public.
• Ability to work 8am-4:30pm, Saturdays and 8am-2pm, Sundays with flexibility for other days on an as needed basis.
