This position offers competitive weekly pay, a lucrative completion bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The L&D nurse will play a vital role in supporting mothers through the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process, while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities * Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, and recovery. * Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, and operate specialized equipment. * Administer medications, IVs, and epidurals as ordered. * Assist physicians and midwives during labor, cesarean sections, and delivery procedures. * Educate and support patients and families throughout the birthing process. * Ensure accurate documentation in compliance with hospital policies and standards. Qualifications * Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility. * Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (travel experience preferred). * Current certifications: BLS and NRP required (ACLS preferred). * Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient advocacy skills. * Ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced settings.
