Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Pest Control Technician to perform services on a subway route from Brooklyn to Manhattan .

Essential Job Functions/Duties for Experienced Pest Control Technician:

• Complete company-paid training and learn the skills required to be responsible for the daily operation of a pest control service route.
• Determine the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest.
• Apply treatments according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
• Properly operate and maintain all necessary tools & equipment assigned to the route.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional services that meet customer needs for a complete pest management program.
• Serve as a problem solver for your customer to decide on the most efficient and best overall pest solution for each customer's needs.
• Complete all required service-related documentation and leverage your hand-held device provided for speed and accuracy.
• Prepare, input, and maintain written and electronic correspondence and data using both paper and cellphone software upon completion of any service.
• Call customers to confirm scheduled services.
• Communicate with office staff as necessary regarding the job.

*Starting pay ranges from $18–21/hr, depending on your experience. After your first 90 days, you'll be eligible to take a company-paid training course and certification exam designed to help you grow your skills and advance in your career. We believe in investing in our team—from day one, you'll be working toward a clear path for advancement. Once certified, you'll receive a title promotion and your pay will increase to $22–24/hr. • Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments, and interact with our customers.

What will my work environment be like?

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
• Lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc., including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Willing to work in different types of weather conditions.

Experience:

• Pest control: 1 year (Preferred).

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required).
• Pest Control License (Preferred).
• Pesticide Applicator’s License (Preferred).

Willingness to Travel:

• 100% (Required).
